The colored fabric serves as a pre-filter. Certified ratings as stated are based on models with Blue Pure 411 particulate filter. Ratings may affect use of other Blue filters. Hourly air changes are calculated on the recommended room size, assuming 8-foot (2.4-m) ceilings. For smaller rooms, air changes per hour will increase. Depending on the air quality in the area where it is used, the recommended six monthly filter change may be longer. General care Take good care of your Pure 411 to ensure good performance. • Vacuum the pre-filter occasionally to remove dust or wash it at a low temperature in the washing machine. • Change the main filter every six months, depending on the conditions of use. Always switch off the device before changing the main filter. • When opening the device to change the filter, vacuum the dust that has collected inside the device. • Occasionally wipe the top of the device with a dry dust cloth.
